A method was developed for the simultaneous assay of noradrenaline and adrenaline in 2
ml of human plasma. The method involves adsorption of the catechols onto alumina,
desorption, lyophilizing, reconstitution, and injection into a reverse-phase ion-pairing liquid
chromatography system. Sensitivity and selectivity are introduced using direct
electrochemical detection of the column eluant.
